clutching those broken chords in your teenage bedroom.
well what posters did you have
were your walls dressed in all your favourite bands?
Did your Mother says its a phase and a fad,
that will rip the paint from the walls when you've had enough.

Mine where covered in lyrics that made me not want to live
and my joy division poster,
well i wanted to fit in
and im sorry if you ever felt the way i did.
But maybe we could write a song, and we could share it with the world
we could tell them not to worry,
and you can cry like a little girl if the need or the mood or the sadness will take you.
And it will be the most beautiful of words that will flow from your veins when you do

and now i share a room that is filled with love and flowers and i just swoon
over our Strike Anywhere Poster because it reminds me that I love you
and on the back you wrote “you’re never too punk to kiss”
and that joy division poster well I don’t care where it is
because there are something's in life I can’t afford to miss
